In a couple of days is the ISM Gallery Walk. Compared to last year in ISM I am more excited. Between this year and last year, there have been a few changes. First of all, I am not going to miss a test, which is already a plus. Second and most important there is air conditioning. Last year we held out gallery walk in part of the cafeteria that didn't have air conditioning causing it to be a very bad experience considering the gallery walk lasted two hours.
On the flip side, I have just completed my display board. On the same note I have improved my display board from last year after I learned from my mistakes. I made sure to use glue and double-sided tape, along with pre-planning the layout of the board as to avoid issues of space. I think the display boards are important but for a different reason than most. I think the content of the board is largely not important btu rather the quality of the board. I think it is a big reflection of the person that is behind the board, work, and knowledge. I think although many view it as meaningless it is one more way to make a good first impression.
