A few days ago we conducted our annual ISM Showcase where ISM students from every school gather to present their research and work to friends, family, and teachers. This year the ISM showcase was held at UNT's Frisco campus however in previous years it was held at the Star. The location was changed because the Cowboys were presumed to be needing the Star to practice for the Superbowl (they lost in the wild card round).
I think all things considered I presented well, coherently, and confidently. I talked to parents, teachers, and other business professionals. I was even able to connect with a marketing professional who I was able to talk with about marketing, sports marketing, and work in the marketing area. This was a very good conversation because I was able to gain perspective as to what a career in marketing looks like, day-to-day work, etc. As of now this hasn't swayed me to fully commit to marketing as a pathway in college but it has given me the knowledge to make that decision later on as I expierence other fields in business.
Looking forward I am contining to work on my final product and go on mentor visits.
