Continuing to Work

During class, I am still continuing to dive deep into marketing. I want to try to gain a better understanding of marketing as a whole before I dive back into more specific research.

For example, I want to start researching sports marketing. This subset of marketing appealed to me at first because of my love of sports. I have played more sports than I can count and still continue to watch and follow many sports. I am also interested to see the dynamic between marketing content and players, and how their own brands help and hurt teams.

This coming week I am attending the ISM business symposium, an event where ISM students practice their interview skills and learn more about interacting with professionals. Although I have attended before I think there is a large benefit to attending a second time. First, I can never get enough experience talking to professionals. It is a skill that I will be using for many many years and I hope to continue improving it. I am also excited to learn from these professionals and find out what has helped them succeed in their respective fields. Even if it is not a related field to my own I am sure their experience will be worth hearing.
